This TED Talk makes interesting viewing and Alisa Miller’s use of graphics is great. I wonder what a map of the world would look like if you applied the same methodology to UK news broadcasts?

    Fair enough but I don’t think the US is necessarily worse than anywhere else. Travelling in Poland or wherever I remember watching interminable news broadcasts about this or that cabinet meeting. Perhaps if more countries worried about their own citizens’ welfare the world as a whole would be better off.

Tom is a retired international lawyer. He was a partner in a City of London law firm and spent almost twenty years abroad serving clients from all over the world.

Returning to London on retirement in 2011, he was dismayed to discover how much liberty had been lost in the UK while he was away.
