THE LAST DITCH

I am tired of OpEds in the MSM and social media posts from my left-leaning friends accusing current politicians of causing "social division".

The divisions in Western society didn't spring up magically at the bidding of President Trump, the Brexiteers or Marine Le Pen. They were patiently forged over decades by Democrats in America, Labourites in Britain and Socialists in France. They and their Cultural Marxist cohorts in academia have delighted in setting class against class, race against race, gender against gender, sexual orientations against each other and one religion against the rest.

They have encouraged and exploited envy and hatred. They have sown the wind for their political gain and now they are reaping the whirlwind. May their demise be as swift as it is just and let's hope they don't cause too much more damage as they are ejected from the political scene.

Then, when these hate-mongers are finally gone, we can work to build societies in which, as every citizen is of equal moral and legal worth, we can focus on what unites us and get on with living our lives in peace.

It’s amazing isn’t it that people can commit actual violence in supposed reaction to imaginary “micro-aggressions”. I keep telling myself that some of them will grow up to be sane. As I have blogged here before I was a teenage Maoist who believed all kinds of idiocy in my day. The purge should not be of misguided youths but the cynical Marxists infesting our higher education institutions in order to indoctrinate them with this poison. A society financing its own foes is truly decadent.

The left increasingly exposes themselves as being obnoxious, deceitful, hypocritical, fascist and ideologically repulsive. So much so that their movement should have been wiped off the political map and their opinions disregarded decades ago. This has not happened. Their opinions and outrageous actions have not in fact diminished them at all in the eyes of a great many leaving them capably of continuing in their destructive ways. Entrance to the highest office of state is still open to them. In fact in many places they still do occupy such offices. This leads me to believe that a great proportion of the population are still intellectually challenged (thick as shit) and/or antisocial and miscreant (greedy evil bastards).

I have attended an adult education colledge for a number of various courses that is quite near to where I live in Yorkshire over the past couple years.
I am amazed at “mindset” of the majority of the tutors there, many of them in their late 50s/early 60s and ones who have had a career elsewhere before becoming lecturers.
I have learnt to bite my tongue and keep my views to myself whilst I am there. You cannot challenge these people to debate with you, either in class, or in a social setting. The rigidity of their views is in some way frightening. Especially as they are preaching to many who do not have the mental abilities to challenge them. Nor the experience of Life lived outside of this bubble to question what they are spoon fed.
It is going to be a long and hard road for us to tred upon to rid our education system of this cancer.

The sooner the first steps are taken the better. Their ability to silence dissent by calling bad names has already gone. President Trump has already mentioned the possibility of de-funding UC Berkeley in the wake of the Milo riots but first he has to quell his rebellious public servants in the Deep State who are trying to thwart the democratic will of the American people. It's simple enough really. All we have to do is stop paying our enemies. Most don't have the wit to live productively. They certainly could not sell their indoctrination as a product without government support.

Let's not be pessimistic. Most people are not thick but apolitical. Given how unhappy thinking about politics makes us, who are we to think THEM stupid? Work, sports and hobbies, family and friends are what concern them — very sensibly. On our deathbeds will we political types wish we had spent more time on it or less?
Our arguments have not won sane voters over but the Leftist insistence on politicising everything and interfering in EVERY aspect of life has finally triggered a reaction. I suspect that Obama's executive order on allowing boys who "self identify" as female access to girls toilets in US schools is what finally caused a collective WTF in the US and cost Clinton the election.
And here's the joke. They don't know how to stop. They got up to over 70 imaginary genders before Facebook gave up and reverted to M F and "other". Ordinary people will ignore a lot of nonsense but the Left just won't get out of their faces. Thank goodness. All sane politicians have to do is act normal and say "we're not them". The key task to achieve in this window of opportunity is to purge academia.

The people have finally got fed up with the successive governments being self seeking rather than thinking of the people who voted them into power.
The result is voters protesting against the status quo with a vote for change; In Brexit and voting for Trump.

Barnacle Bill has it right I’m afraid. The Left have permeated our society since the late 1960’s. It is the result of the Left’s successful march through our institutions, where their worldview has become the accepted norm. Except of course that it isn’t normal at all. They have used the classic divide and conquer tactic, selecting as they do your nationality, race (the two are not the same btw), gender, class or any other metric you care to mention. Instead of uniting us, it divides us even more than we are now.
In many ways it’s a blessing that most people don’t take too much of an interest in politics because otherwise we would not have had Brexit or Trump. People aren’t as stupid as the political elite and commentariat like to think. People have eyes to see and ears to hear, and what they’ve seen and heard in the last 10 years does not please them at all. They can see wage stagnation for themselves, they see the unlimited immigration in their neighbourhoods, they hear the politicians calling them xenophobes, homophobes, Little Englanders and thick uneducated bigoted racists. They know they are being ignored and cast aside. Trust me – it doesn’t go down at all well. If anything it engenders the opposite response to the one intended.
Have you noticed the sheer bile of loathing and hatred coming from the Left, how, even now they think they can turn the results around by fair means or foul? They are treading on very dangerous ground indeed. The British People collectively might not be the sharpest tools in the shed (according to the left), but they DO know what democracy means, so when you try to tell them that a democratic majority of 52% should be overturned, they tend to have something of a sense of humour failure – even the ones who voted remain.
There needs to be a fight back against the intolerant Left, and I would encourage us all to not keep our own counsel, nor to bite our tongue. What about it Bill?

Funny you should say that – the Telegraph of late has been egregious with those huge blowups of the talking heads, as if they’re celebs.

Tom is a retired international lawyer. He was a partner in a City of London law firm and spent almost twenty years abroad serving clients from all over the world.

Returning to London on retirement in 2011, he was dismayed to discover how much liberty had been lost in the UK while he was away.

He’s a classical liberal (libertarian, if you must) who, like his illustrious namesake, considers that

“…government even in its best state is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one.”
