Not only in a ‘just libertarian society’ but in most societies not heading towards authoritarian madness.
It seems that, as the law stands, the police are acting within their powers to investigate this ‘offensive’ tweet.
I suppose you could say that the police could choose to turn a blind eye to it, but the greater fault is that the law exists at all.

Half a dozen people have been outraged by a remark, we need to have a public trial with the world’s press in attendance to decide how offensive it was.
