It maybe that the real agony begins for this hoon now he is released. Unemployable, friendless and ignored, my bet is he dies in an alcoholic stupor within a year or two.

“Unemployable, friendless, and ignored”? I doubt it: the comrades will rally round.
Once a member of the political class, always a member.
Watch for him to pop up within a few months as a consultant to a Trade Union, or something like that – well paid, well pensioned, at our expense.
