THE LAST DITCH
GrumpyOldTwat: The Final Words Of Anna Raccoon.
I shall miss Anna Raccoon. She was a good un. I hope she will be happy out there in the real world. But I also wish she would fix all the links to her by putting her deceased blog back up…
We shall all miss Anna, her openness and honesty, her sense of justice and her sense of humour, her wonderful poems and her sheer sincerity and love of humanity.
It is an awful thing that she has been hounded into silence; the internet will be a poorer place for her no longer being part of it.
God bless and keep you, Anna, and those close to you.

The Sons of the Raccoon http://a-nest-of-procyon-lotor.blogspot.com/ will continue the good investigative work of Anna.
It will not be possible to put the blog back up as those of a Libertarian persuasion are hounded into silence

I’m very sad indeed about what has happened to her. Of course if it’s now affecting her health then fair enough, that’s a good reason to stop.
However, those slimy cowards who upset and persecuted her are nothing, just scum. I don’t know a huge amount about it, but it shouldn’t have happened like that.
Considering the horrible, untrue and certainly defamatory allegations that were posted online about her, I would seriously consider legal action if I was her, libertarian or not.
She is one of the most courageous, compassionate and sane people I’ve ever read or had contact with. She changed my life and that of my partner, much for the better, particularly with her writings on the OPG/CoP.
If I may modify a classic Watership Down quote:
“My heart has joined the Thousand, for my friend stopped writing today.”

Tom is a retired international lawyer. He was a partner in a City of London law firm and spent almost twenty years abroad serving clients from all over the world.
Returning to London on retirement in 2011, he was dismayed to discover how much liberty had been lost in the UK while he was away.
He’s a classical liberal (libertarian, if you must) who, like his illustrious namesake, considers that
“…government even in its best state is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one.”
