The Croydonian: The Great British public disgraces itself again.

Not only (see last post) does our Leader have delusions of omnipotence, our fellow citizens are prepared to trust government in key areas (freedom of thought and expression) where history proves it can never be trusted. The Croydonian is one of those talented bloggers who can treat important subjects with a light touch. He does not normally lead me toward despair. Today is different, alas.

    Croydonian doesn’t trust commenters much you have to give your own name and address plus friends ditto. Before you can comment.
    And sure any religion with human sacrifice should be banned.
    You shouldn’t advocate murdering people – even if this is ‘free’ speach.

    Erm, not that I’ve noticed. I allow anonymous comments, and do not insist on word verification etc.

Tom is a retired international lawyer. He was a partner in a City of London law firm and spent almost twenty years abroad serving clients from all over the world.

Returning to London on retirement in 2011, he was dismayed to discover how much liberty had been lost in the UK while he was away.

      I rather like Romania; went in 1975 (I was 22, pretty broke, and wanted a holiday. Romania was incomparably cheap).…
