THE LAST DITCH

Link: CORPORATE PRESENTER: Set your goals.

Being tagged with these memes is tiring (I still haven’t got around to the one from yesterday), but netiquette seems to require a response. So here goes.

Yes. Yes. Not applicable. Possibly/No. A little hung-over, but otherwise great; thanks for asking.

Enjoy your goal-setting, chaps.

Point taken about Memes. I’ll lay off for the time being. Good quality comment is the best way to get noticed but thanks for your post.
No doubt I’ll have lots to say upon my return from Africa.

I feel exactly the same way with these things and only reluctantly participate. I generally feel that I have enough to pontificate on without the directed input of others. It rankles with me but at the same time I feel obliged to respond. Since I feel this way I do not inflict them on others.

Now Tom, I have a confession. I tagged Praguetory, knowing he hates these things. His e-mail was most gracious, considering [he chuckles].

Tom is a retired international lawyer. He was a partner in a City of London law firm and spent almost twenty years abroad serving clients from all over the world.

Returning to London on retirement in 2011, he was dismayed to discover how much liberty had been lost in the UK while he was away.

He’s a classical liberal (libertarian, if you must) who, like his illustrious namesake, considers that

“…government even in its best state is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one.”
