THE LAST DITCH

School children as young as 8 told they would be labelled 'racist' for missing school trip – Telegraph.

Click to enlarge and marvel at the arrogance of the state's servants

When I tell my friends abroad about life in modern Britain, they think I exaggerate. This story illustrates just how far our country has strayed from the path of freedom. How could any service provider think she had the right to use such words to her customers? How can such threats be consistent with a 'free' society?

This woman Small appears to be a zealot with no sense of proportion. Or perhaps we should imagine her under such severe private pressures from her superiors that she genuinely felt compelled to issue such threats?

She has been now been told to withdraw the 'racial discrimination note' warning because the parents have stood up to her. Yet how can she be trusted, when the press furore dies down, not to make good on her threats? How for that matter can we continue to trust the zealots of the education Industry with our childrens' tender minds?

Education is a service provided to parents. Their views on matters of faith and conscience should be respected. It should, above all, be about opening young minds, not closing them.

I suspect she’ll soon be leaving, under a cloud. There was a tone of irritation and exasperation in the statements from the LEA and council which suggest to me that they are not pleased that she’s let the cat out of the bag…

    Two quick points:
I bet that when they study the Religion of Peace they won’t be told about the way it used violence to establish itself and spread, and how it still sanctions violence as a point of principle, it’s not an aberration.
And, this headteacher doesn’t think the letter went to her customers. The state is her customer. This mindset is widespread in state provided services.

You mean there is actually something for which an employee of the British state can be fired?

And in Comic Sans, too, the font of the boneheaded. If the Vogons ever turn up, the demolition order will be in Comic Sans, mark my words.
But yes, to echo James above, state education isn’t a service provided to parents. It’s a service provided, primarily, to the teaching profession.

Note the weasel language of the bureaucrat.
“Refusal to allow… will result in”, “Our expectations are”
Not once does she use “I”.
Further discussion is fobbed off to an underling.
Some time in the 90s those who couldn’t contribute usefully to society built themselves an empire of paper pushers and rulemakers.
I won’t rant on, but consider this; in modern primary school teaching there is a recommended minimum number – 9 – of PowerPoint slides per lesson…

It demonstrates the standard of education when this notice is being label racist. It is ist something but not race as Islam is not a race but a religion practiced by many different races. Then “bedroom tax” was not a tax either but it was reported as such. I do not believe there should be curbs on freedom of speech but I do believe there should be punishments for factual inaccuracy and delivering misleading information either by word or print. Of course it would only have to apply to those who are judged to be important enough that they can influence public opinion. Otherwise me and all those barroom politicians and lawyers would be forever in court. Bit iffy for blogers but I notice generally they are far more accurate than politicians and the media. Still the upside is that nearly all those in prison for this offence (they will be repeat offenders because they cannot help themselves) would be lefties and eco-loons.

I’ve seen a depressingly similar attitude from the school that my child started attending in September. They will fine us £60 per day if we withdraw our daughter for a few days for any personal reason other than illness. I believe it is to prevent families going off on holiday during term time, but the assumption of ownership over my daughter is deeply troubling to me and I worry what her future in state education holds.

There is only one practical answer to this kind of abuse in the state system.
Put your kids schooling into the private sector.
I know it’s expensive, but I am of the belief that is the only reasonable path to take in this corrupted age.
Putting your children in the hands of thaese vile bastards in the state system is tantamount to child abuse.

Actually, a minimum number of nine slides is already far too many – and I teach adults. Death by powerpoint is a reality… (and a sign of a lazy tutor)

I do believe that she rescinded this letter. Still, it is deplorable in its intent. Schools everywhere seem to be tripping over themselves to ingratiate themselves with the religion of peace, though it is not a religion and there is only peace after all their enemies (read us) are destroyed.

I’m so angry at this I don’t know where to start.
First off, just what is a racial discrimination note? Does it have any force in law? How is one given? Does a procedure have to be followed, or can a teacher give one on a whim? Once one has been given, is there an appeals procedure? Can it be removed?
Secondly, Britain has an elite which is still overwhelmingly white, but seems to hate white people. Can someone who knows more about psychology than me explain this.
Nor is it likely to produce a more tolerant society; just the reverse in fact. Sooner or later people are going to have had enough and a backlash will begin. Most likely this will be in support of extremist political parties, as is already happening in continental Europe: Vlaams Belang in Belgium, the National Front in France and Golden Dawn in Greece.

The original Marxist notion of class war failed. The white working class in the advanced economies didn’t buy it, given that their economic position steadily improved under free market economies.
Socialism is a hate-based doctrine. If you want to persuade people that it’s legitimate violently to seize the products of others’ labour and/or investment (and in effect to enslave the productive) then you must first instil hatred of those others. Otherwise it is just too obviously wrong.
Modern socialism is therefore based upon building a sense of grievance amongst various groups who have to be convinced they are being oppressed and exploited. The target of their combined hatred is not the white majority but ‘the white patriarchy’; a group of white males who, according to what is in effect the biggest and most paranoid conspiracy theory in history, sit around devising ways to keep down women, members of other ethnic groups, LGBT people, etc. etc.
It’s a lot less plausible – and a lot less attractive – than the original notion of the industrial proletariat united against its rich class oppressors, but it’s working. People are actively agitating to be seen as members of a ‘vulnerable’ group. To be a victim, something any self-respecting human should wish to avoid, has become desirable.
The contradictions in this ideology are obvious; e.g. the conflicts between the objectives of such favoured groups as Muslims and gays. As you say, they will most likely lead to the emergence of militant extremism in politics as a backlash against the militancy of the favoured groups.

The late Mrs P and I, having been educated ourselves in bog-standard comprehensives (and she having taught in several of them) long ago decided we would not have children unless we were reasonably confident we could afford to educate them privately.
The Misses P were not exposed to a single day of state indoctrination. This is my proudest and most expensive achievement but it’s simply not do-able for most people for so long as taxes are so high. If everyone decided as we did, the effect would be a rapid decline in the population (no doubt ‘corrected’ by immigration to delay the collapse of the Welfare State Ponzi scheme).

Ms Small (Minded)should be disciplined and preferably let go from he post. She has proved her unsuitability for the role.
I expect they would offer her a promotion on more money… that is how these things go isn’t it?
