Safe and sound in New Jersey, just a few miles from the port where I must take Speranza to be shipped back to England. I can’t quite believe I made the whole circuit with her in one piece – and she still looks beautiful enough to draw the usual crowd as I arrived at my hotel. She is a credit to the Ferrari marque and a model should be named in her honour – the Ferrari Speranza GTO. That a stray burst of electricity in my synapses on a balcony in London should have turned into this epic reality is really quite something.
