Muslim SAS soldier sues MoD for racial discrimination – Telegraph.
To think I was hard on a member of my own learned profession for playing the victimhood card! If a lawyer should be too tough to be bullied, how much more so a special forces soldier? If he was worthy of his membership of the SAS, he should be ashamed to bring this action.
His quest for cash makes race relations more difficult. Who wants to work with someone – especially when one's life depends on it – who may be on the lookout for a chance to claim he was mistreated? How does one maintain morale in such circumstances, when the characteristic banter of soldiers in danger is proscribed for fear of such an accusation?
Frankly, it's pathetic. I am prepared to bet he encountered nothing that his white comrades did not. I imagine he won't be going into action again relying upon any of them to cover his back.
