Tom, I don’t want to be a wet blanket but is there any point? Like Tony, surely they’ll do exactly as they wish to do.

Tom, I’ve put the graphic up in my links.
James, every journey begins with a first step.
There are meant to be 60 million blogs out there. Even if only 10% of them make a fuss about it the Egyptians are going to be very embarrassed given time and perserverence.

As a former Amnesty International member, I can tell you it is very important that each and every one of these prisoners of conscience know that someone out there cares for them.

Tom is a retired international lawyer. He was a partner in a City of London law firm and spent almost twenty years abroad serving clients from all over the world.

Returning to London on retirement in 2011, he was dismayed to discover how much liberty had been lost in the UK while he was away.

He’s a classical liberal (libertarian, if you must) who, like his illustrious namesake, considers that

“…government even in its best state is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one.”
