I will fulfil my Blogpower obligation to review some or all of my fellow-Blogpowerers’ sites. Our great helmsman, James Higham, has already done so, as have CityUnslicker and Gracchi of Westminster Wisdom in the comments to James’ original request.
It’s proving harder work than I would have thought and is taking me some time. All of our bloggers take their efforts seriously and deserve no less from me. Fortunately, thanks to VVP‘s generous policy on Russian public holidays, I have the leisure and will use it for the purpose.
I shall do the reviews one by one, over time. Coming soon, my thoughts on Bel is Thinking.

Tom is a retired international lawyer. He was a partner in a City of London law firm and spent almost twenty years abroad serving clients from all over the world.

Returning to London on retirement in 2011, he was dismayed to discover how much liberty had been lost in the UK while he was away.

He’s a classical liberal (libertarian, if you must) who, like his illustrious namesake, considers that

“…government even in its best state is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one.”
